LNG
Liquified Natural Gas
Product Details
LNG | Liquified Natural Gas
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas, predominantly methane (CH4), with some mixture of ethane (C2H6), that has been cooled down to liquid form.
The cooling process brings the gas to approximately -162°C (or -260°F), which condenses it into a liquid. This process reduces the volume of the gas by about 600 times, making it much easier to store and transport.
LNG is generally sold with a discount to the price for the product using the S&P Global Price.
