Jet A1 | Aviation Jet Fuel

A kerosene-based aviation jet fuel, Jet A-1 is used in most jet aircraft, including civil and military aircraft, as well as helicopter turbine engines and turboprops.

Containing additives Jet A-1 prevents the fuel from igniting uncontrollably, forming deposits in the turbine, or becoming electrically charged. It also contains static dissipater additives to reduce static charges.

Sold with a discount to the price for the product Jet A1 trades using the (S&P Platts) index.

Jet Fuel Terms of Trade

Supply Agreements

When trading with us, you are securing an Agreement for our Refineries to supply, and inject your product at the loading port.

Product Price

Our price is determined by current market conditions and in line with the market price for ongoing supply using S&P Platts price indexes.

Payment Terms

We act according to ICC responsible trade practice engaging bank to bank payment terms by MT103 payment after injection.

Inspection

Quality, Quantity and Weight is final according to the SGS Report arranged by our chosen Refinery at the Loading Port.

Shipment Options

We use INCOTERMS 2020
Shipping terms: FOB where the seller fulfills its obligations with the buyer according to their choice.

Product Ownership

Once the transfer of payment is received we will issue the Certificate of Transfer of Ownership to the Buyer for each and every shipment.

Jet Fuel Facts

Composition

Aviation Jet fuel is a mixture of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and is made from crude oil in refineries.

Flash & Freezing Point

With a higher flash point than gasoline, Jet fuel reduces the risk of fire and has a freezing point between -40°C and -58°C.

Uses in Society

Each year Emirates airlines use approx 27,000,000 bbl of Jet Fuel whilst the US Department of Defense uses 78,000,000 bbl.
