D6
Residual Fuel Oil
Product Details
D6 | Residual Fuel Oil
D6 fuel, also known as residual fuel oil or virgin fuel oil, is a heavy, viscous fuel oil derived from the heaviest cuts of crude oil.
It requires preheating before use and is primarily used in large industrial applications like power plants and large ships.
D6 fuel is less refined than lighter diesel fuels and is generally less expensive, but it produces higher emissions and is not suitable for smaller engines or vehicles.
With Grades of MGO, MDO, LS 180, LS 380, IFO 180 and IFO 380 and sold with a discount to the price for the product D6 trades using the (S&P Platts) index.
D6 Fuel Specifications
